A Vote To Canton

Later tonight the Pro Football Hall of Fame will induct 6 former players, and one major contributor. Being named a Hall of Famer is one of the greatest honors in the history of sports. Being inducted to the Hall means that you were one of the best to ever play, you dominated at what you did, and for that, you will be honored. An even greater honor is 1st Ballot Hall of Famer, meaning you got into the Hall on your first try. There are two 1st Ballot Hall of Famers in this year's class, Deion Sanders, and Marshall Faulk.

Primetime. One word, and yet it perfectly describes the player who Deion Sanders was. Deion was drafted 5th Overall by the Falcons, back in 1989, and he lived up to all of the hype. Sanders was a one of a kind player, known for his showboating and celebrations. Despite all of that, Deion was a play-maker. Sanders had 53 career interceptions in 14 seasons, to go with 22 career touchdowns. Sanders also was a tremendous return-man, returning a punt for a touchdown in his first career game. Deion Sanders was a 8-time Pro Bowl Selection and an 8-time All-Pro Selection. Sanders played for 5 teams in his career, winning the Super Bowl with the 49ers and Cowboys.

Marshall Faulk was the best player, on one of the best offenses in NFL History. The featured Running Back on the "Greatest Show On Turf" was relentless. Faulk started his career in Indianapolis after being drafted 2nd Overall by the Colts in 1994. Faulk spent 4 seasons in Indianapolis before being traded to the Rams. Marshall spent 7 seasons in St. Louis, winning NFL MVP in 2000. In Faulk's first season in St. Louis, the team won the Super Bowl, using an offense featuring Kurt Warner, Issac Bruce, Torry Holt, and 1st Ballot Hall of Famer, Marshall Faulk. Marshall Faulk was one of the most complete Running Backs in NFL History, Marshall is the only player to rush for at least 12,000 yards, and have at least 6,000 career receiving yards. Faulk was a 7-Time Pro Bowl Selection and a 3-Time All-Pro Selection. Marshall Faulk is the 10th All-Time leading rusher in NFL History.

Deion Sanders and Marshall Faulk are considered to be one of the best at their respective positions. Sanders and Faulk will go into the Pro Football Hall of Fame together, and will be remembered by how they dominated on Sundays.
