NBA Break Out Players

Last year we saw many break out seasons from players like, Kevin Love, Russell Westbrook, LaMarcus Aldridge, and the league's MVP, Derrick Rose. Assuming that there will be an NBA season next year, here are a few guys who could break out, and become All-Star caliber players.

1. Stephen Curry(GS): Curry very well could have been Rookie of the Year, two years ago when he averaged 17.5 PPG and shot over 40% from beyond the arc. Curry followed that up with 18.6 PPG and 5.8 APG in his second year. If Stephen Curry keeps improving, he will become one of the best Point Guards in the Western Conference.

2. Luol Deng(CHI): Deng is already one of the best defenders in the NBA, but he really had a great offensive season for the Bulls, averaging 17.4 PPG. Deng's problem is that he doesn't shoot a great percentage. But if he can improve on that, Luol Deng could be an All-Star.

3. John Wall(WAS): John Wall was the #1 Overall Pick in the 2010 NBA Draft, and he showed why during his rookie year. He finished 7th in the NBA with 8.3 APG, however he had to deal with a lot of injuries in his rookie year, forcing him to only play in 69 games. Wall is not a great shooter, but he has all of the tools to become a star.

4. JJ Barea(DAL):
Barea primarily backed up Jason Kidd during the regular season. But people began to notice him during the Mavericks postseason run to an NBA Championship, in which he averaged 8.9 PPG and 3.4 APG off the bench. As Jason Kidd begins to wear down, look for Jose Juan Barea to step up for the Mavericks.

5. Michael Beasley(MIN): Michael Beasley was a bust in Miami, so he was traded to Minnesota. The Timberwolves got a very talented player that helped add to their young nucleus. Beasley averaged 19.2 PPG in his first season in Minnesota, good enough for Top 20 in the NBA. If Beasley can take his game to another level, that could really help Minnesota in it's rebuilding process.

Key:
PPG: Points Per Game
APG: Assists Per Game
